Sharon asks…

how much is it to fly a small dog on frontier airlines one way?

i fly to michigan this year and i was wondering how much it would be to fly my small dog one way there. i have been looking around online but i dont know if there updated. so if anyone could give me a price range that would be good. oh and i will be flying my dog where the baggage goes. ha. thanks for the help guys

andre1 answers:

Call Frontier - they know the answers to all of your pet transport questions. They are more likely to be able to give you the correct answers than we are.

You have to make a reservation for your dog by talking with someone on the phone anyway, so give them a call.

James asks…

Frontier airlines? What can you bring in your carryon?

So my sister came back from her Hawaii trip. She bought me like boxes of Hawaiian chocolate. Are you allowed to bring boxes of chocolate on a carry on with Frontier airlines? I'm leaving in a couple of hours and I need to know. I have 4 regular sized boxes.

Please do not attack me with stupid responses. Thanks

andre1 answers:

Frontier nor TSA cares about solid food. Just make sure that they fit Frontier's carry on size dimension restrictions

William asks…

Who has glown with Frontier Airlines?

Are they any good? It's the cheapest flight I can get and I have never flown with them before.
I mean flown...not glown! sorry.

andre1 answers:

Good morning,

Frontier is a GREAT airline. They fly Airbus aircraft, so the configuration is a 3x3 conerning the seating. The seats are all leather, and they have Live TV at every seat from Direc TV. They do charge a few dollars, I think 5, that you can swipe your in the TV and it will let you watch your tv.

They do buy that service from JetBlue, so that's why it's a small cost. You should just bring your own headsets though. I think they also charge a small fee for the headsets, but generic ones will work.

I can't imagine in the four months since I've flown them last, they changed from a one prong to a two prong headset jack. But who knows. Anyways, it's a good flight experience, and it's much better than Southwest!

Helen asks…

Have you traveled with Frontier Airlines and was it enjoyable?

andre1 answers:

Do you like ? Why or why not?

Opinions please, thank you:)

andre1 answers:

I like delta and my worst experience was on southwest!!!

Lisa asks…

Have you ever flown on Frontier Airlines?

You know how they have different animal on the tail wing of each plane? Which animal was on the plane(s) you were on? How were the flight-attendants?

andre1 answers:

Frontier is my favorite airline. I didn't notice for a while that they had an animal on every tail. Even though I just flew them, I don't remember which animal was on my tail. Haha, sorry! I guess I should try to remember since I do fly them quite often. Well, admittedly I tend to fly them early in the morning, so it's kinda hard to see what animal it is anyways. And every single plane they have (around 50) has a different animal, which is cool.

The flight attendants are great, nothing spectacular, but then I've never had a spectacular flight attendant anyways. But I can tell they love their jobs-they are really nice and good at helping you if you need anything. Compared to some of the other airlines I've flown, I definitely would say their flight attendants are slightly better overall, but again nothing over-the-top.

But when you're flying economy, which is the only class of service they have, I don't need women in stockings and such for me to consider them good flight attendants. Bottom line, Frontier Airlines is a company you should really try. If you pay just $25 more on the ticket, you'll get two free checked bags ($40 value right there) and then free DirecTV on your flight/s and also bonus mileage. It's really great. Hope that helps!

Betty asks…

does frontier airlines let you carry on a guitar on the flight or do i have to check it in?

the guidelines just confuse me! please help!

andre1 answers:

Its probably too big to be considered a carry on because it wont fit under your seat and might be too big (with case) for the overhead. When you check in ask if they have the on flight storage for strollers. Alot of parents need their strollers with them but they are too big, so the flight attendant takes them and puts them in a closet in the front of the plane. Ask if they have one of these you can use.

Michael asks…

what is the status of frontier airlines flights on 12/23/06?

I cannot get any information from them on their site for flight 788 - San Antonio to Denver 12/23/06. And their phone system is down.

andre1 answers:

If you can't get anything of the Frontier site, check out the DIA site http://www.flydenver.com/flights/index.asp It will give you up to the minute information.

I checked the site and there is no flight 788, but there are two 688 (one at 7:40am and one at 8:50pm) and both are scheduled as on-time.

John asks…

I am flying Frontier Airlines for the first time...any feedback?

Frontier Airlines has just started flying into Milwaukee, WI and I booked a flight in May to Denver. Any feedback on Frontier would be appreciated.

andre1 answers:

I've only flown on them once, but I really like it. You can they have tv screens in the backs of each seat and you can preview movies and tv shows for 20 minutes, after that you have to pay a fee to watch. The screens also show where you are in your journey for free.

Michael asks…

Has anyone taken their Deuter Kid Comfort II on a flight?

Going to travel with baby and wanted to take this instead of a stroller, but would rather not gate check it, since it will have all of baby's stuff in it. I know it's a little bigger than the limit for carry-ons, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with this carrier or one this size.

andre1 answers:

Might want to try the parenting section.

Linda asks…

What is your experience with Frontier Airlines?

How would you rate it?

andre1 answers:

I used Frontier for the first time about 10 days ago. The majority of my flying over the last ten years has been on Southwest, so I guess I was comparing the whole time, but it seemed that Frontier was slow and ineffecient. Some of this is due to my ignorance of their procedures, but I would still have to give them a 7.

Mary asks…

Frontier Airlines files for bankruptcy? What is your economic opinion?

How does this situation relate to micro?

andre1 answers:

You can (and should approach it from a supply and demand angle, looking at it from all of these:

- the passengers
- the suppliers
- the airport (as a business entity)
- the town (from a tax standpoint)
- the airline suppliers (boeing, airbus, etc.)
- the employees
- the unions invloved (pilots, flight attendants, etc.)
- the banks

It's a rather complicated picture, in that there are multiple ripple effects. Showing how some of these affect each other directly or indirectly, should give you a good start on putting together the supply/demand curves... I suggest you keep it qualitative, unless you're a glutton for punishment and want to show some quantitative graphs... For each on its own, the simple rules of supply and demand apply... The fun starts when you try to link some of them together...

Sharon asks…

is frontier airlines a good and safe airline to fly?

i already dont like flying and have only flown delta but am traveling to CA in a few months and frontier ir cheap but are they good and SAFE?

andre1 answers:

I'm not sure if the rest of the people on here actually know what they're talking about. I've flown with Frontier Airlines a bunch of times, and they are definitely safe (air travel is pretty safe in general) and very comfortable for being a low-cost regional airline. If you don't believe me check out their ratings:

Richard asks…

is frontier airlines a good airline?

I am looking for airline tickets from california to minnesota and found one on frontier for 240 round trip and one on delta for 530 round trip. I like frontier pricing better but are they a good airline? How are their seats? I am a larger person would I fit? Which should I go with?

andre1 answers:

Frontier is not a bad airline and the seats should not be much different from the other airlines. You can go to http://www.seatguru.com and find out the seat width and pitch.

Since the prices are much lower on Frontier, I would go with them.
